Our verdict
QD-OLED at 360 Hz in 27-inch QHD, built for competitive shooters. It only pays off if your GPU can hold those frame rates; otherwise a 240 Hz OLED covers you.
Our analysis
MSI's own MAG 274QP QD-OLED X24 uses a 27-inch class QD-OLED panel at the same 2560 × 1440 and stops at 240 Hz; the 271QPX takes it to 360 Hz and adds USB-C, and that number is the whole pitch. It is built for people who play Valorant, CS2 or Apex seriously and have a graphics card strong enough to feed it.
What stands out
- 360 Hz on a QD-OLED panel. A new frame every 2.8 ms against 4.2 ms at 240 Hz, which is where motion clarity in fast shooters comes from.
- 0.03 ms response time. MSI's figure; OLED pixels change state far faster than an LCD's liquid crystal.
- QD-OLED with DisplayHDR True Black 400. Each pixel switches off on its own for black, with quantum-dot color on top.
- HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C, plus height adjustment. You can set it at eye level and hook up a desktop or a USB-C laptop without adapters.
Where it falls short
- Filling 360 Hz takes a high-end graphics card and lowered settings; at high settings most cards will not reach it.
- It is more refresh rate than a console uses.
Look elsewhere if
- You play on high settings or your GPU is below that tier: the LG UltraGear 27GX704A keeps 27-inch 1440p OLED and 0.03 ms at 240 Hz, with two HDMI 2.1 ports for consoles. If sharpness matters more than speed, the Samsung Odyssey G8 G81SF moves to 4K QD-OLED at 240 Hz.
We place it against the rest in the best gaming monitors of 2026, and our resolution-by-GPU guide explains which card it needs.
