Our verdict
The upgrade for anyone still on 60 Hz: a 24-inch Full HD IPS at 180 Hz, a resolution light enough for a modest graphics card to make use of in popular shooters. It is Full HD only and its HDR is basic, so it is an entry monitor, not an image showpiece.
Our analysis
At the other end of our monitor list, the MSI MAG 271QPX runs 27-inch QHD on QD-OLED at 360 Hz; the AOC 24G51F2 runs 23.8-inch Full HD on IPS at 180 Hz, with a 0.5 ms (MPRT) response time. Full HD at 180 Hz is the point: it asks far less of a graphics card than QHD at 360, so an entry GPU can actually reach the refresh rate. It suits esports players, entry-level graphics cards and anyone who would rather put the money into the GPU than into the monitor.
What stands out
- 180 Hz that a modest card can actually use. 1080p is the lightest resolution for a graphics card and esports shooters are light games, so even an entry GPU can push frame rates near the refresh rate.
- IPS panel. IPS keeps colors consistent at wide viewing angles, unlike a TN panel.
- Adaptive-Sync, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0. Adaptive-Sync matches the refresh to your frame rate to avoid tearing, and two inputs let a second device stay plugged in.
- The right size for tight desks, with VESA. 24 inches suits a narrow desk, and the VESA mount lets you hang it on an arm later to free the surface.
Where it falls short
- Resolution tops out at Full HD and HDR is entry-level (it is listed as HDR Ready), so do not expect OLED blacks.
- It is a fast entry-level monitor rather than a showcase for picture quality.
Look elsewhere if
- You have a mid-to-high GPU and want a big jump in image quality: the LG UltraGear 27GX704A gives you 27-inch QHD OLED at 240 Hz. For a balanced 1440p step, the MSI MAG 274QP QD-OLED offers WQHD at 240 Hz with height adjustment; like any OLED, avoid it if the screen shows static work windows all day.
We rank it in the 5 best gaming monitors of 2026 and explain which resolution fits your card in 1080p, 1440p or 4K in 2026.
