Our verdict
Airflow first at a budget price: mesh front, four fans in the box, room for E-ATX boards and 360 mm radiators. It is the case of our value build because of that front and those four fans; if you want a closed case with sound-dampening foam, look at the Antec P7 S.
Our analysis
One more fan and 8 mm more for the graphics card: that is what separates this case from the Lian Li Lancool 216, with four fans included against three and room for 400 mm cards against 392 mm. Both take 180 mm air coolers and 360 mm radiators; the Lancool 216 holds eight drives where Montech does not list a count, so storage-heavy builds lean that way.
What stands out
- A mesh front panel. Air reaches the components through the front instead of around a closed panel, which is what our guide to safe CPU and GPU temperatures looks at first when a PC runs hot.
- Four fans included. Three 140 mm ARGB fans in the front and one 140 mm in the back, per Montech, so you do not budget for extra fans on day one.
- Room to grow. E-ATX down to Mini-ITX boards, graphics cards up to 400 mm, air coolers up to 180 mm tall and 360 mm radiators, so a bigger GPU or a liquid cooler later does not force a new case.
Where it falls short
- It is built for airflow, not silence: the front is mesh and the side is tempered glass, with no sound-dampening material listed.
- It is a large case, sized for E-ATX, which is more than a compact desk may want.
Look elsewhere if
- A closed, dampened case matters more to you than an open front: the Antec P7 S also ships with four fans but uses a solid side panel with sound-dampening foam. If you want a smaller tower, the NZXT H5 Flow is a compact ATX case that still fits a 360 mm radiator, though its two bottom fans are not in the box.
