Lian Li Lancool 207 PC case, black, front view

Our verdict

A normal ATX tower in a micro-ATX footprint: it takes a 360 mm radiator up top, and graphics cards up to 375 mm. The front fans are 140 mm and 30 mm thick, so replacing them later means buying that same size.

Our analysis

Like the Antec P7 S, it ships with four fans and takes a full ATX board, but it does so in roughly the footprint of a micro-ATX case, by recessing the motherboard tray to win back depth. The price of the smaller box is in the numbers: graphics cards up to 375 mm against 405, and two drive bays against four. In return it fits an air cooler 5 mm taller, 180 mm against 175. It is for anyone who wants a standard ATX build on a small desk or in a tight room.

What stands out

  • An anti-sag bracket for the graphics card. Cards up to 375 mm fit, and the included adjustable bracket keeps them level.
  • A 360 mm radiator up top. So a large all-in-one liquid cooler stays on the table even in a case this size.
  • Four fans included. The two at the front are 140 mm ARGB units, so airflow and lighting are covered from the start.
  • Compact without going micro-ATX. You keep a standard ATX board instead of downsizing the whole build to save space.

Where it falls short

  • The front fans are 30 mm thick, not the usual 25 mm. Replacing them later means finding that same 140 × 30 mm size.
  • Only two drive bays, against four on the Antec P7 S and eight on the Lancool 216.
  • It takes ATX boards up to 244 mm wide, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX, so E-ATX is out, and its 375 mm graphics card limit is the lowest among the cases we compare.

Look elsewhere if

  • Desk space is not a problem and you want bigger, slower fans: the Lian Li Lancool 216 uses two 160 mm front fans and takes cards up to 392 mm. If you want a compact case with a different way to feed the graphics card, the NZXT H5 Flow has a perforated power supply shroud for two bottom fans, though you have to buy those two separately.
