Our verdict

Two 160 mm front fans and a 140 mm at the rear, fine mesh at the front, top and PSU shroud, and a modular I/O that lets you shift the board. At 235 mm wide it gives an RTX 50 power cable room, but it is a big tower, so measure your desk.

Our analysis

The NZXT H5 Flow ships two fans and takes a 410 mm graphics card; the Lancool 216 ships three, two 160 mm ARGB up front and a 140 mm at the rear, and stops at 392 mm. In return it fits a 180 mm air cooler against 170 mm and holds eight drive bays against three. It is an ATX tower for a gaming PC with a big air cooler and a desk with room to spare.

What stands out

  • Two 160 mm front fans. Instead of three 120 mm fans, it uses two bigger ones. A bigger blade moves more air per turn, so it reaches a given airflow at lower rpm; Lian Li gives no noise figure, so we leave the comparison there.
  • 235 mm of width. That extra width gives the 12V-2x6 cable room to leave an RTX 50 card without folding against the side panel.
  • Modular I/O. The motherboard can sit higher or lower to suit air cooling or a radiator.
  • Mesh and space. Fine mesh up front, on top and along the PSU shroud, support from E-ATX to Mini-ITX, air coolers up to 180 mm tall and eight drive bays.

Where it falls short

  • It is a large tower: Lian Li lists it at 480.9 × 235 × 491.7 mm. Measure your desk first.
  • Its graphics card limit is 392 mm, lower than the 405 mm of the Antec P7 S, though above the 375 mm of the smaller Lancool 207.

Look elsewhere if

  • Space is tight: the Lian Li Lancool 207 fits an ATX board in a micro-ATX footprint, though its graphics card limit drops to 375 mm. If you want four fans in the box and solid panels, the Antec P7 S ships four PWM fans and sound-dampening foam on its side panels, although at 222 mm wide it is tighter for an RTX 50 power cable.
