Our verdict
A case that comes ready: four PWM fans from the factory, mesh intake down both sides of the front, room for a 360 mm radiator and sound-dampening panels. It is 222 mm wide, so with an RTX 50 check that the 12V-2x6 cable has room to bend.
Our analysis
Where the NZXT H5 Flow ships two fans, the P7 S ships four 120 mm PWM fans, three at the front and one at the rear, so the airflow path is complete from day one. The two are close on the rest: 405 mm for the graphics card against 410, 175 mm for an air cooler against 170, four drive bays against three. The real difference is the panels: solid steel with sound-dampening foam here, where the NZXT shows its hardware.
What stands out
- Four PWM fans in the box. PWM lets the motherboard set their speed, so they slow down when the PC is idle instead of running at full speed all day.
- Mesh down both sides of the front. Intake does not depend on a single narrow slot, so the front fans have room to pull air in.
- Space for the graphics card to breathe. The bottom intake leaves 30 mm of clearance so the card can draw its own air, and cards up to 405 mm fit.
- Sound-dampening foam on both side panels. There is still room for a 360 mm radiator up top and four drive bays.
Where it falls short
- At 222 mm wide it is on the tight side. With an RTX 50 card, check that the 12V-2x6 cable gets about 35 mm of straight run before it bends.
- The side panels are solid, so there is no window to show off your hardware.
- It takes ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX boards but not E-ATX, which the H5 Flow and the Lancool 216 do take.
Look elsewhere if
- You are pairing it with an RTX 50 and want margin for that power cable: the Lian Li Lancool 216 is 235 mm wide for exactly that reason. If the PC will be on display, the Antec C8 ARGB swaps the solid panels for frameless front and side glass, with the cables hidden in a second chamber.
