Our analysis

Longer graphics cards fit here than in the Lian Li Lancool 216: 410 mm against 392 mm, though the Lian Li takes a taller air cooler, 180 mm against 170, and ships three fans against two. What sets the H5 Flow apart is where those extra fans would go: a perforated PSU shroud with room for two 120 mm fans directly under the card.

What stands out

• A GPU-first airflow path. With fans under the card, it gets fresh air directly rather than the leftovers from the front intake.
• Fine mesh on three panels. Front, top and side are all ultra-fine mesh, so air has several ways into the case.
• Radiator room. Up to 360 mm at the front and 240 mm on top, enough for a large liquid cooler.
• Two quiet-airflow fans preinstalled. One 120 mm at the front and one at the rear, so it runs as soon as you finish the build.

Where it falls short

The pair of fans under the card, the ones this whole layout depends on, is not included, so count them in your budget from the start. Out of the box you get two fans, against four in the Antec P7 S and the Montech Air 903 Max. E-ATX boards only fit up to 277 mm wide.

Look elsewhere if

You want a full set of fans on day one: the Antec P7 S ships four PWM fans and sound-dampening panels. For more room, the Montech Air 903 Max brings four fans, a mesh front and space for 360 mm radiators.
