SteelSeries QcK Large (450x400mm, cloth)

Our analysis

The Lenovo Legion Gaming XL goes wide and shallow, 900 × 300 mm with braided edges, so the keyboard can sit on it; the QcK Large is 450 × 400 mm, deeper but half as wide, with no stitched edges listed. It is made for a regular desk where the mouse needs room and the keyboard lives beside the pad, not on it: a sheet of micro-woven cloth on a non-slip rubber base.

What stands out

• 450 × 400 mm of surface. Room for low-sensitivity players who sweep the mouse, without taking over the desk.
• Micro-woven cloth made for mouse sensors. SteelSeries designs the surface with tracking in mind, which is the one job a mousepad has.
• Non-slip rubber base. It is there to keep the pad from creeping when you flick, so your aim does not depend on where the pad drifted to.
• 2 mm thick, no RGB. No cable, no software, nothing to charge.

Where it falls short

• At 450 mm wide, your keyboard will not fit on it.
• Its spec sheet lists no stitched edges, while the Razer Gigantus V2 Pro lists low-profile stitching, and 2 mm gives less cushion than the 4 mm pads in this category.

Look elsewhere if

• You want one surface under the mouse and the keyboard: the SteelSeries QcK XXL keeps the same micro-woven cloth, 2 mm thickness and rubber base, but stretches to 900 × 400 mm. If you would rather have a thicker pad, the Razer Gigantus V2 Pro goes to 500 × 480 mm with 4 mm of GlideCore foam and a cloth Razer tunes for speed.

The QcK Large is not part of a guide yet, so the fairest way to weigh it is against the rest of our mousepads and desk mats or side by side in the comparison tool.
