Razer Gigantus V2 Pro Soft Esports (speed)

Our analysis

480 mm of depth is the figure to look at: 8 cm more than the SteelSeries QcK Large, the usual mouse-only size (500 × 480 mm here against 450 × 400 mm). At low sensitivity, that depth is room to pull the mouse back toward you without running off the bottom edge.

What stands out

• The Speed version of the V2 Pro. Razer sells the Gigantus V2 Pro in five speed ratings that differ in surface friction; this one is the low-friction Speed cloth.
• 500 × 480 mm. A mouse-only pad that is almost as deep as it is wide, useful when your arm drives long vertical moves.
• 4 mm on GlideCore foam with an anti-slip base. Razer's own foam, and an underside made to hold the pad in place.
• Low-profile stitched edges. The border is stitched without a raised lip, so there is no ridge for the wrist to cross near the edge.

Where it falls short

Speed is the point and the trade-off: a low-friction surface leaves the stopping to your hand, so at high sensitivity a control cloth is the safer pick. At 500 mm wide it is sized for the mouse, not for a keyboard to share the pad.

Look elsewhere if

You play at medium or high sensitivity: the Corsair MM PRO Control uses a control cloth at the same 4 mm thickness, with sloped stitched edges, and it is hand-washable. If you want your keyboard on the pad too, the SteelSeries QcK XXL stretches to 900 × 400 mm.
