Our verdict
Built for competitive shooters: TriForce titanium drivers with competitive profiles stored on the headset, a detachable HyperClear Super Wideband mic and up to 70 hours of battery, plus Bluetooth. At 320 g, compare the weight with the headset you wear today.
Our analysis
The Razer BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed shares the 50 mm drivers, the 70-hour battery rating and the mix of 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, so the microphone is what separates them: a detachable HyperClear Super Wideband mic here against a 9.9 mm cardioid one on the V3 X. This one also uses Razer's titanium TriForce drivers, at 320 g against 270. It is a wireless headset built for competitive shooters.
What stands out
- 50 mm TriForce drivers with competitive profiles. Razer tunes them for positional audio, and the competitive profiles are stored on the headset itself, so they follow it to any PC.
- Detachable HyperClear Super Wideband mic. Super wideband captures a wider range of your voice than a standard headset mic, and you can pull it off when you only want to listen.
- Up to 70 hours of battery. At five hours a day, that is about two weeks between charges.
- HyperSpeed 2.4 GHz plus Bluetooth 5.2. A dedicated wireless link for gaming and Bluetooth for your phone, with memory foam and breathable fabric pads.
Where it falls short
- The tuning is built around games, not music.
- If you do not compete, you are paying for positional tuning you may not use, and a lighter or longer-lasting headset may fit you better.
Look elsewhere if
- Battery life matters more than footsteps: the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless is rated up to 300 hours per charge. For a player who moves between PC and consoles, the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 works with PS5, PS4, Switch and PC and is rated at 80 hours.
The numbers Razer publishes
Razer lists 320 g for this headset, so if your sessions run long, compare that weight with the one you wear today. It charges over USB-C, and Razer says 15 minutes on the cable gives about 6 hours of play, enough to rescue a match that started on an empty battery. The microphone is the newer super wideband model, and the competitive audio profiles are stored on the headset itself. Bought from Razer's own store, it comes with up to 2 years of warranty.
