Our verdict
The premium step: the base station keeps three systems plugged in and the PLAYSYNC button moves between them, and setting it on the base charges it. Logitech rates it at about 24 hours per charge, so the base is part of the deal.
Our analysis
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni also builds around a base station, but it solves battery with two swappable cells and adds active noise cancelling and Bluetooth. The A50 Gen 5 takes another route: its base connects up to three systems by USB-C, such as an Xbox, a PS5 and a PC, the PLAYSYNC button on the headset moves the audio between them, and setting the headset back on the base charges it.
What stands out
- PLAYSYNC across three systems. Logitech lists Xbox, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch, all plugged into the base at once.
- 40 mm PRO-G GRAPHENE drivers. Logitech uses a graphene diaphragm, stiffer than standard driver material, with a listed range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
- 48 kHz mic. An omnidirectional boom that Logitech describes as broadcast quality.
- Charging on the base. No cable to remember: the dock tops it up between sessions, and there is also a USB-C port.
Where it falls short
Logitech rates about 24 hours per charge at 78 dB, so it depends on the base: the G535, for one, is rated at 33. The base station also needs a spot on your desk or TV stand.
Look elsewhere if
You want long battery over a dock: the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 also switches between Xbox, PlayStation and PC, with up to 80 hours. If you play on a single PC, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 Wireless adds Bluetooth and up to 50 hours on 2.4 GHz, without a base.
It is the premium pick in wireless gaming headsets at every budget, and the 5 best gaming headsets of 2026 covers the wider field.
