Elgato Facecam MK.2 (1080p60, HDR)

Our analysis

The Logitech C920s also shoots 1080p, but at 30 fps, with autofocus and two built-in mics. The Facecam MK.2 doubles the frame rate to 60, drops the mics and the autofocus, and sends the image uncompressed over USB 3.0, with full manual control in Camera Hub. It is for streamers who already own a good microphone and want their image to look the same every time they go live.

What stands out

• 1080p at 60 fps. Twice the frames of a 30 fps webcam, which matters when your face sits next to a 60 fps game on the stream.
• Manual ISO, shutter and white balance. Set them once in Camera Hub and the picture stays on those settings from one stream to the next.
• Uncompressed over USB 3.0. The camera sends the image without compressing it first, so there is no extra compression step between the sensor and your PC.
• Sony sensor and privacy shutter. Our streaming setup guide lists a Sony STARVIS sensor of 1/2.5 inch, and a physical cover handles privacy when you are off air.

Where it falls short

• HDR works only at 1080p30, not at 60, so you pick one or the other; for gaming, 60 fps without HDR is usually the better call.
• Focus is fixed, set for 30 to 120 cm from the lens, so it is made for a desk, not for moving around a room.
• It has no microphone by design, and a small sensor wants plenty of light, which is why we pair it with a key light.

Look elsewhere if

• You stream from a dark room or want real background blur: the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra puts a larger sensor behind an f/1.7 lens.

We rank it in the 4 best streaming webcams of 2026 and build a full rig around it in our pro streaming setup guide.
