Our verdict
Our NVIDIA pick on a 550 W supply: 16 GB of GDDR7 and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, in a compact 229 mm, 2.5-slot cooler. Buy the 16 GB version, not the 8 GB; against the RX 9060 XT it wins on features, not on price.
Our analysis
Same 550 W power supply, twice the memory: that is the difference against the GIGABYTE RTX 5060 WINDFORCE 8G. This card carries 16 GB of GDDR7 where the 5060 has 8 GB, for a 180 W rating against 145 W. If the games you play ask for more than 8 GB of video memory at your settings, those 35 W buy you that room; if you play at 1080p with lighter settings, the 5060 covers it.
What stands out
- 16 GB of GDDR7. The RTX 5060 Ti also comes with 8 GB on the same GPU; this is the version with room for texture settings that ask for more than 8 GB.
- DLSS 4 and NVENC. Multi Frame Generation in the games that support it, and NVIDIA's NVENC encoder if you stream from the same PC.
- Compact build. 229 mm long and 2.5 slots, per ASUS, so it fits cases where a 298 mm card like the RX 9060 XT Steel Legend does not.
- Modest power needs. 180 W and a recommended 550 W supply, against the 750 W ASUS asks for with the Prime RTX 5070.
Where it falls short
- Next to the RX 9060 XT, its edge is features rather than price: the AMD card also carries 16 GB, at 160 W.
- NVIDIA's next tier, the RTX 5070, is rated at 250 W and asks for a 750 W supply; this card is the step below it.
Look elsewhere if
- You only play and never stream: the RX 9060 XT Steel Legend 16GB has the same 16 GB of VRAM. If you want NVIDIA's next tier, the RTX 5070 asks for a 750 W power supply.
We line up all six cards, from 1080p to 4K, in the best graphics cards for gaming in 2026. If you are on a 550 W supply and want DLSS 4 and NVENC with 16 GB, this is the NVIDIA card we would pick.
