ASRock Radeon RX 9060 XT Steel Legend 16GB, front view

Our verdict

Our value pick: 16 GB of VRAM, twice the 8 GB of the RTX 5060 WINDFORCE, with FSR 4 and a 550 W power supply. The trade-off is software: no DLSS, and streamers who want NVENC should look at the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.

Our analysis

Twice the video memory of the GIGABYTE RTX 5060 WINDFORCE, 16 GB of GDDR6 against 8 GB of GDDR7, on the same 550 W power supply the two brands recommend. The cost is size: 298 mm and 2.55 slots here against 199 mm, so the case decides before the memory does.

What stands out

  • 16 GB of VRAM. Games whose texture settings ask for more than 8 GB of video memory fit without turning them down.
  • RDNA 4 and FSR 4. Third-generation ray tracing and AMD's upscaler for this generation, in the games that support it.
  • Three fans that stop at low load. Per ASRock, plus two DisplayPort 2.1a and one HDMI 2.1b.
  • 160 W and a 550 W recommendation. A mid-range power supply covers it.

Where it falls short

  • No DLSS: in games that offer DLSS but not FSR 4, you fall back on the game's other settings.
  • At 298 mm it is a long card, so measure a compact case before buying.

Look elsewhere if

You stream every day: the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB keeps the same 16 GB, adds DLSS 4 and NVIDIA's NVENC encoder, and is 229 mm long. If you want the next tier up, the RTX 5070 is there, though with 12 GB of VRAM.
