SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 - OmniPoint 3.0 Hypermagnetic Gaming Keyboard

Our analysis

On the spec sheet the Corsair K70 PRO TKL is its twin: magnetic Hall effect switches, a TKL layout, USB-C cable, actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm and no hot-swap. The Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 sets itself apart with an OLED screen on the keyboard and an aluminum top plate, where the Corsair lists 8000 Hz polling. It is our top keyboard pick for 2026, aimed at competitive players who also use their keyboard for everything else.

What stands out

• Actuation adjustable per key across 40 levels. Set movement keys to a hair trigger for Valorant and keep the rest stiffer so you do not mistype in chat.
• Rapid Trigger. A key resets as soon as it starts to rise instead of at a fixed point, which is what you want when you stop and change direction mid-fight.
• OLED screen. It shows profiles and settings on the keyboard itself, so you can see which one is active when you switch between games.
• Aluminum top plate in a TKL layout. No number pad, which leaves more room for mouse sweeps.

Where it falls short

• It is wired only and the switches are not hot-swappable, so you cannot try other switch types later.
• For casual play it is more keyboard than you need.

Look elsewhere if

• You compete and care about polling rate: the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz matches the 0.1 to 4.0 mm range with analog optical switches and adds 8000 Hz polling. If you play casually and just want a solid TKL, the Redragon K552 Kumara offers 87 keys, red linear switches and a metal top plate.
