Orzly Carry Case for Nintendo Switch 2 with Screen Padding and Card Slots

Our analysis

Another Switch 2 accessory we list, the Samsung microSD Express 256GB, is licensed for the console and solves storage; this Orzly case is not licensed and solves transport. Storage comes first, because the Switch 2 only runs games from microSD Express cards; the case comes second, the day the console starts leaving the house. It pairs a rigid outer shell with a padded inner panel that sits right on the screen.

What stands out

• A padded panel that sits on the screen. The protection goes where a backpack does the damage: on the glass, not just the corners.
• A hard shell. In a backpack full of keys, chargers and a laptop, a rigid case takes the knocks instead of the console.
• Game card slots plus a mesh cable pocket. Your games and your charging cable travel with the console, so nothing gets lost loose in the bag.
• Built for the Switch 2. It is shaped for this console specifically.

Where it falls short

• It is not officially licensed, so you are relying on Orzly's own fit for the Switch 2 rather than a Nintendo stamp.

Look elsewhere if

• The console never leaves the house: a case does nothing for a Switch 2 that lives next to the TV, so skip it and keep the money for games or storage.

Both appear in our essential console accessories guide, next to the PS5 and Xbox picks, and the full list is in our console accessories section.
