OIVO PS5 Stand and Cooling Station with Dual Controller Charger

Our analysis

The Xbox rechargeable battery pack handles charging for one Xbox controller with two 4800 mWh packs you swap; this stand charges two DualSense controllers at the same time and also holds the console and blows air across it. It works with the original PS5, the Slim and the Pro, and it connects by USB.

What stands out

• Two controllers on the stand. Leave both on it and one is ready when the other runs out. An LED shows when they are full, after about two and a half hours according to the listing.
• A three-speed fan. It pulls hot air away from the console, an extra on top of the PS5's own cooling.
• Stand with disc storage. The console stays upright and there is space to keep a few discs within reach.
• PS5, Slim and Pro compatible. If you move to a newer model, the stand comes with you.

Where it falls short

• It is not officially licensed by Sony, so treat the fan as a bonus, not a cure for a console with a heat problem.
• It does nothing for the other common PS5 headache, which is running out of storage for your games.

Look elsewhere if

• Your real problem is space: the WD_BLACK SN850P 2TB is officially licensed, arrives with its heatsink already fitted and adds 2 TB to the console.
