Logitech G535 Lightspeed wireless gaming headset, black, front view

Our verdict

A 236 g wireless headset for long sessions, with LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz and a flip-to-mute mic. The 33-hour battery means charging every few days; if you hate charging, the Cloud Alpha Wireless is the one.

Our analysis

Next to the Razer BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed, the G535 is 34 g lighter, 236 against 270, and gives up battery and Bluetooth for it: Logitech rates it at 33 hours on LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz only, where Razer rates the V3 X at 70 hours with Bluetooth as well. It is the headset for long sessions where weight on your head matters more than any other spec, with a mic that mutes the moment you flip it up.

What stands out

  • 236 g. After a few hours it is weight on your head you notice, and this is one of the lighter wireless headsets we cover.
  • Flip-to-mute mic. Lift the boom and you are muted, with no button to find when someone in the room talks to you.
  • Memory foam and sports mesh pads. Logitech pairs them with an adjustable suspension headband, so the band sits on your head without a fixed clamp.
  • LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz wireless. A USB dongle link with 40 mm drivers.

Where it falls short

  • With 33 hours per charge you will plug it in every few days, well behind rivals rated at 70 or 300 hours.
  • There is no active noise cancelling.
  • The connection is 2.4 GHz only; its spec sheet lists no Bluetooth, which the BlackShark V2 Pro and the Stealth 600 do include.
