Our verdict
The quiet version of the Pro series: 140 mm blades move the same air at lower rpm, and lower rpm is what you stop hearing. Check that your case takes 140 mm fans up front, and plan a hub, because five of them on one header draw a lot of current.
Our analysis
Almost twice the rated airflow of the ARCTIC P12 PWM PST, the plain 120 mm five-pack: 110 CFM against 56.3, and 5.2 mmH2O against 2.2, per ARCTIC. The price of that is speed, 2500 rpm against 1800, and a 140 mm mount your case may not have. For a case that takes 140s and a build that runs hot, the extra air is the point; for a quiet office PC, the P12 is enough.
What stands out
- More air at a lower top speed than the 120 Pro. 110 CFM at 2500 rpm against the P12 Pro's 77 CFM at 3000 rpm: a bigger blade moves more air per turn, so it can reach the same airflow spinning slower.
- Five fans, one header. The PST cable chains them so one motherboard connector sets the speed of all five.
- A 2500 rpm ceiling. Room to push hard under load and drop back at idle.
- Fluid dynamic bearing and no RGB. Plain fans built to move air.
Where it falls short
- Fit is on you: plenty of cases only take 120 mm fans at the front, and some lose radiator clearance with 140s. Count the mounting holes before you order.
- Current adds up: five of these on one header draw a lot, so budget for a hub.
Look elsewhere if
- Your case only takes 120 mm fans up front: the ARCTIC P12 Pro PST is the same series at 120 mm, rated at 6.9 mmH2O and 77 CFM. And if you do go with this five-pack, pair it with the ARCTIC Case Fan Hub so the power comes from the supply and not the header.
