Thermalright Frozen Notte 360 Black ARGB V2 AIO liquid cooler

Our verdict

A low-cost way into liquid cooling: three fans, ARGB and a 360 mm radiator rated at 27.7 dB. The limit is your case, not the cooler: measure that it takes a 360 mm radiator before buying.

Our analysis

Two Thermalright coolers, two ways to move heat: the Peerless Assassin 120 SE is a 155 mm air tower with two 120 mm fans rated at 25.6 dBA, and the Frozen Notte 360 moves the heat to a 360 mm radiator with three 120 mm fans rated at 27.7 dB. The air tower needs height above the CPU; this one needs a 360 mm mount in your case. Which of the two your case has decides the choice before the cooling does.

What stands out

  • A full 360 mm radiator. A third more radiator than a 240, for the same three-fan layout per 120 mm slot.
  • Rated at 27.7 dB. About two decibels above the 25.6 dB Thermalright lists for its air towers, with three fans sharing the work.
  • Heat leaves through the radiator. Useful when a tall air tower would crowd your RAM or your case has little room above the CPU.
  • Broad socket list and ARGB. AM4, AM5, LGA1700, LGA1851 and LGA115x/1200, with addressable lighting on the fans.

Where it falls short

  • Plenty of mid-towers have no top or front mount for 360 mm, so measure before you buy.
  • Like any AIO it has a pump, a moving part an air cooler does not have, and it lacks the VRM fan of pricier 360s.
