G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16) 6000MT/s

Our analysis

The Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 runs the same 6000 MT/s at CL36, but in 16 GB (two 8 GB sticks); this G.SKILL kit doubles that to 32 GB in two 16 GB sticks and adds RGB. Both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP 3.0 profiles are stored on each module, so one kit covers either brand of processor. It is our favorite memory kit for 2026.

What stands out

• EXPO and XMP together. Build on AMD or Intel, enable the matching profile in the BIOS and the kit runs at its rated speed. No need to hunt for a platform-specific version.
• 32 GB. The capacity our RAM guide sets as the gaming target now, with room to stream, record and keep browser tabs open while you play.
• 6000 MT/s DDR5 at 1.35 V, CL36. G.SKILL's rated speed and voltage, for a new AM5 or Intel system.
• RGB lighting. A plus for builds with a glass side panel.

Where it falls short

• Height is the catch. Its aluminum heatspreader stands tall, and under a big dual-tower air cooler that can collide with the front fan, so check the gap first or plan to raise that fan.
• If you prefer a dark case, you are paying for lighting you will turn off.

Look elsewhere if

• You want the same capacity and speed without lights: the Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB runs 6000 MHz CL36 with EXPO and XMP and no RGB. If your PC doubles as a workstation for 4K editing, virtual machines or large Blender projects, the Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB doubles the memory and still leaves two slots open.

We set it against DDR4 and the other DDR5 kits, and explain why 32 GB is the gaming target now, in how much RAM you need for gaming in 2026. For a main PC you want to get right the first time and leave alone for years, this is the kit we would install.
