GTPLAYER Gaming Chair with Footrest, front view

Our verdict

The budget entry: recline to 135°, a pull-out footrest and a lumbar pillow, rated for 136 kg, the lower figure in its listing. Faux leather and basic armrests show where the money was saved; it suits a tall desk where your feet dangle.

Our analysis

It shares the 136 kg rating of the Razer Iskur V2 X, taking the lower of the two figures in GTPLAYER's listing, and splits the other choices differently: the Iskur builds its lumbar curve into the backrest, adds 2D armrests and reclines to 152°, while this GTPLAYER reclines to 135° and adds a pull-out footrest, a lumbar pillow and a headrest cushion. It is the entry-level chair for a budget that went to the graphics card.

What stands out

  • Pull-out footrest. Useful above all at a tall desk where your feet do not reach the floor, and it turns the chair into a place to rest.
  • 135° of recline. Lean back for a break without getting up, which in a small room saves you from needing an armchair that would not fit.
  • Lumbar pillow and headrest cushion included. Two loose cushions for your lower back and neck that you place where you need them.
  • Rated for 136 kg (300 lb). The lower of the two figures in its listing, and the one we use.

Where it falls short

  • The faux leather and the armrests show where the money was saved: the armrests only tilt with the backrest, so they do not adjust to your desk.
  • The lumbar support is a pillow, not a curve built into the backrest.

Look elsewhere if

  • You are a bigger player and care more about the seat than a footrest: the GTPLAYER Big & Tall swaps flat cushioning for a wide spring seat. If you live somewhere hot and faux leather sticks to you, the Corsair TC100 Relaxed uses breathable fabric and adds adjustable armrests.

The numbers in GTPLAYER's listing

GTPLAYER describes three useful backrest positions: locked at 90° for competitive play and office work, around 110° for browsing and video, and back to 135° with the footrest out for a nap. The seat height moves 3.94 in (10 cm), so check that range against your desk before you buy. The listing title says 350 lb, but the brand's own description rates the frame for 300 lb (136 kg), and that lower figure is the one we use. It comes in white, black, gray, red, blue and pink.
