ASRock's 550 W is for its own <a href=\"/products/asrock-radeon-rx-9060-xt-steel-legend-16gb\">Steel Legend 16GB</a> ([banda:PRD-000100]), which ASRock lists with a boost clock of up to 3320 MHz, while AMD lists up to 3130 MHz for the reference card. Our calculator works from the chip's figures, so it lands on 450 W, and it follows one rule: if the card's maker asks for more than it computes, the maker wins.</p>\n\n<p>For the card we list, that means 550 W is the floor. If yours is another brand's RX 9060 XT, read that brand's own page, because the figure belongs to the model and not to the chip. The processor adds little to the question: the <a href=\"/products/amd-ryzen-5-9600x-6-core-12-thread\">Ryzen 5 9600X</a> ([banda:PRD-000035]) is a 65 W part according to AMD, so it is the graphics card that sets the size of the supply. AMD also lists the processor without a cooler in the box, so budget for one separately.</p>\n\n<h2>Is 850 W too much for this PC?</h2>\n\n<p>No, it is only more than you need. Against the 325 W full-load figure, a 450 W unit would run at 72% of its rating (the calculator's own readout), a 750 W unit at about 43% and an 850 W unit at about 38%. Most games draw less than the full-load figure; our <a href=\"/blogs/how-many-watts-does-your-gaming-pc-need-2026-psu-guide\">watts guide</a> has real-world ranges. A supply does not push extra watts into the PC, it delivers what the parts ask for, so the price of picking 850 W is paying for capacity you may never use, and the benefit is room if you change the card later.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Table: the two Corsair supplies in our catalog that fit this PC.</strong> Updated on October 6, 2026.</p>\n\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr><th>Spec</th><th>Corsair RM750e</th><th>Corsair RM850e</th><th>Source</th></tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr><td>Rated power</td><td>750 W</td><td>850 W</td><td><a href=\"https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020262-na/rme-series-rm750e-fully-modular-low-noise-atx-power-supply-cp-9020262-na\">Corsair RM750e</a>, <a href=\"https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020263-na/rme-series-rm850e-fully-modular-low-noise-atx-power-supply-cp-9020263-na\">Corsair RM850e</a></td></tr>\n<tr><td>Standard</td><td>ATX 3.1</td><td>ATX 3.1 certified</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>PCIe 8-pin (6+2) cables</td><td>Two: one with a single connector, one with two</td><td>Two: one with a single connector, one with two</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>12V-2x6 cable in the box</td><td>Yes</td><td>Yes</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Cabling</td><td>Fully modular</td><td>Fully modular</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Warranty</td><td>7 years</td><td>7 years</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Size</td><td>140 × 150 × 86 mm</td><td>140 × 150 × 86 mm</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Above ASRock's 550 W</td><td>+200 W</td><td>+300 W</td><td>Our arithmetic</td></tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n\n<h2>Corsair RM750e: the one I would buy for this PC</h2>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"/products/corsair-rm750e-750w-cybenetics-gold-modular\">Corsair RM750e</a> ([banda:PRD-000039]) clears ASRock's 550 W by 200 W, has the two 8-pin PCIe cables this card needs, and includes a 12V-2x6 cable for the day you move to a card that uses that connector. Corsair backs it for seven years and lists a Zero RPM fan mode, which keeps the fan off at lower loads. If you want to stay closer to the numbers, the catalog also has two 650 W units, the Corsair RM650e and the MSI MAG A650GLS, and both cover this PC.</p>\n\n<p>Where it stops: if the next card is a big one, check what its own maker asks for before assuming 750 W is enough. Our <a href=\"/blogs/rtx-5070-vs-rx-9070-xt-which-one-to-buy-in-2026\">RTX 5070 vs RX 9070 XT guide</a> works that out for those two cards.</p>\n\n<h2>Corsair RM850e: when it makes sense</h2>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"/products/corsair-rm850e-850w-cybenetics-gold-modular\">Corsair RM850e</a> ([banda:PRD-000138]) has the same cables, the same size and the same warranty as the RM750e, with 100 W more. It makes sense if you already know you will step up to a bigger graphics card within a couple of years and would rather not buy a second supply. If this PC is going to stay as it is, the extra 100 W is something you will not notice.</p>\n\n<h2>The cable and the case</h2>\n\n<p>The card takes one 8-pin PCIe connector according to AMD and ASRock, so any supply with a free 8-pin (6+2) cable works, and you do not need a 16-pin adapter. ASRock lists the card at 298 × 131 × 51 mm and 2.55 slots: put your case in our <a href=\"/tools/will-it-fit\">Will it fit? tool</a> and compare, and read <a href=\"/blogs/gaming-pc-case-2026-follow-the-air-not-the-glass\">our case guide</a> if you have not chosen one yet.</p>\n\n<h2>How we choose</h2>\n\n<p>We have no lab and we have not run this PC. The card's power, supply recommendation and connector come from AMD and ASRock; its size and boost clock from ASRock; the processor's TDP from AMD; the supplies' connectors, standard, warranty and size from Corsair. The 325 W, 450 W and 550 W figures come from our calculator, and the 100 W for the rest of the PC is our estimate. Price bands come from our catalog and move with Amazon. No brand pays to appear here.</p>\n\n<p><em>I write every guide with the help of AI tools for research and drafting; I decide which products make the cut, check every figure against the manufacturer's spec sheet and the price on the day I verify it, and sign the text. — Samuel</em></p>\n\n<h2>Frequently asked questions about powering an RX 9060 XT</h2>\n\n<h3>How many watts does an RX 9060 XT need?</h3>\n<p>AMD lists 160 W of Typical Board Power for the 16 GB card and recommends a supply of at least 450 W; ASRock asks for 550 W for its Steel Legend 16GB. With a Ryzen 5 9600X, our <a href=\"/tools/psu-calculator\">calculator</a> adds the whole PC up to 325 W at full load.</p>\n\n<h3>Is 650 W enough for an RX 9060 XT and a Ryzen 5 9600X?</h3>\n<p>Yes: 650 W is 100 W above ASRock's 550 W and 200 W above AMD's 450 W. If you are buying new, our catalog has two: the <a href=\"/products/corsair-rm650e-650w-cybenetics-gold-modular\">Corsair RM650e</a> and the <a href=\"/products/msi-mag-a650gls-pcie5-650w-80-plus-gold-fully-modular\">MSI MAG A650GLS</a>.</p>\n\n<h3>Is 550 W enough for an RX 9060 XT?</h3>\n<p>Yes. 550 W is ASRock's own figure for this card and the size our calculator gives when you want room for your next graphics card. It is 225 W above the 325 W full-load estimate for this PC.</p>\n\n<h3>Does the RX 9060 XT need a 16-pin (12V-2x6) cable?</h3>\n<p>No. AMD and ASRock both list one 8-pin power connector, so a standard 8-pin PCIe cable is all it takes.</p>\n\n<h3>Can I use the 500 W supply I already own?</h3>\n<p>It sits between AMD's 450 W minimum and ASRock's 550 W for the card we list, so it is under what this card's maker asks for. I would not count on it, and I would read your own card's page before deciding.</p>\n\n<h2>What I would put in the cart</h2>\n\n<p>For an RX 9060 XT and a Ryzen 5 9600X, the Corsair RM750e, and nothing bigger unless you already plan to change the card. Most games draw less than the full-load figure; our <a href=\"/blogs/how-many-watts-does-your-gaming-pc-need-2026-psu-guide\">watts guide</a> has real-world ranges. A supply does not push extra watts into the PC, it delivers what the parts ask for, so the price of picking 850 W is paying for capacity you may never use, and the benefit is room if you change the card later.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Table: the two Corsair supplies in our catalog that fit this PC.</strong> Updated on October 6, 2026.</p>\n\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr><th>Spec</th><th>Corsair RM750e</th><th>Corsair RM850e</th><th>Source</th></tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr><td>Rated power</td><td>750 W</td><td>850 W</td><td><a href=\"https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020262-na/rme-series-rm750e-fully-modular-low-noise-atx-power-supply-cp-9020262-na\">Corsair RM750e</a>, <a href=\"https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/psu/cp-9020263-na/rme-series-rm850e-fully-modular-low-noise-atx-power-supply-cp-9020263-na\">Corsair RM850e</a></td></tr>\n<tr><td>Standard</td><td>ATX 3.1</td><td>ATX 3.1 certified</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>PCIe 8-pin (6+2) cables</td><td>Two: one with a single connector, one with two</td><td>Two: one with a single connector, one with two</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>12V-2x6 cable in the box</td><td>Yes</td><td>Yes</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Cabling</td><td>Fully modular</td><td>Fully modular</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Warranty</td><td>7 years</td><td>7 years</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Size</td><td>140 × 150 × 86 mm</td><td>140 × 150 × 86 mm</td><td>Corsair</td></tr>\n<tr><td>Above ASRock's 550 W</td><td>+200 W</td><td>+300 W</td><td>Our arithmetic</td></tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n\n"},{"tipo":"herramienta","herramienta":"cabe"},{"tipo":"html","html":"<h2>Corsair RM750e: the one I would buy for this PC</h2>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"/products/corsair-rm750e-750w-cybenetics-gold-modular\">Corsair RM750e</a> ($80 to $110) clears ASRock's 550 W by 200 W, has the two 8-pin PCIe cables this card needs, and includes a 12V-2x6 cable for the day you move to a card that uses that connector. Our <a href=\"/blogs/rtx-5070-vs-rx-9070-xt-which-one-to-buy-in-2026\">RTX 5070 vs RX 9070 XT guide</a> works that out for those two cards.</p>\n\n<h2>Corsair RM850e: when it makes sense</h2>\n\n<p>The <a href=\"/products/corsair-rm850e-850w-cybenetics-gold-modular\">Corsair RM850e</a> ($110 to $150) has the same cables, the same size and the same warranty as the RM750e, with 100 W more.
