This guide is only about the 16 GB cards. ASRock's specification page is titled Steel Legend 16GB OC, and the clocks above come from it.
\n\n
What the 1440p tests say, and how old they are
\n\n
The game results we can cite come from TechSpot's RX 9060 XT review, published on June 4, 2025. Across 18 games at native 1440p, TechSpot found the RX 9060 XT 16GB about a frame, or one percent, behind the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, with the AMD card averaging 70 fps. At 1080p the AMD card was 6% slower. In seven ray-tracing games it was 20% slower, at an average of 65 fps.
\n\n
Two cautions before you lean on those numbers. They are launch-week results, so drivers and game patches since then may have moved them; read a recent review of the exact model before you spend. And TechSpot tests the chips, not the two partner cards we list, whose factory clocks can differ a little. TechSpot's verdict on the 16 GB card was favorable at AMD's announced price, and it advised staying away from the 8 GB versions.
\n\n
Why the RX 9060 XT is my pick for most 1440p builds
\n\n
For a plain 1440p gaming PC, the RX 9060 XT gives you the same 16 GB of memory, performance within about a percent in the test above, 20 W less on paper and a lower price band in our catalog. If you do not care about DLSS and you are not building in a small case, I do not see what the extra money on the other card buys you.
\n\n
The costs are real. At 298 mm and 2.55 slots, the ASRock RX 9060 XT Steel Legend 16GB ([banda:PRD-000100]) needs a roomy case, it has no DLSS, and ray tracing was where it fell furthest behind in the test. It does carry FSR 4, and it asks for the same 550 W power supply as the NVIDIA card.
\n\n[producto:PRD-000100]\n\n
When the RTX 5060 Ti is the better buy
\n\n
Three situations tip it to NVIDIA. The first is a small case: the ASUS card is 229 mm long, 69 mm shorter than the ASRock one, so it clears cases where the AMD card will not. The second is ray tracing, where the same review measured the biggest gap. The third is DLSS 4: NVIDIA says Multi Frame Generation can add up to three extra frames for each frame the card renders, but only in games that support it, so check your own library first.
\n\n
You pay for that. The ASUS Dual RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC Edition sits in the [banda:PRD-000101] band, against [banda:PRD-000100] for the ASRock card. Bands move with Amazon, so look at both before you decide. If the gap is large and none of the three situations above is yours, the AMD card is the better use of the money.
\n\n[producto:PRD-000101]\n\n
The power supply, the cable and the case
\n\n
Both cards use one 8-pin cable, and both makers of the cards we list ask for 550 W, so one power supply serves either. NVIDIA's own figure for the RTX 5060 Ti is 600 W and AMD's minimum for the RX 9060 XT is 450 W; ASUS notes that its 550 W assumes a fully overclocked system. Our power supply calculator gives the number for your whole PC, and our guide to the RX 9060 XT with a Ryzen 5 9600X works one full example.
\n\n
For the case, compare the card length with your case's maximum card length on the manufacturer's page. Our Will it fit? tool checks 27 cases and 20 coolers, and our case guide explains what to look at.
\n\n
How we choose
\n\n
We have no lab and we have not run these cards. Specifications come from the NVIDIA, AMD, ASUS and ASRock pages, the game results from TechSpot's published review, and the launch prices from the makers' announcements. The 448 GB/s figure is our own arithmetic. Price bands come from our catalog and move with Amazon. No brand pays to appear here.
\n\n
I write every guide with the help of AI tools for research and drafting; I decide which products make the cut, check every figure against the manufacturer's spec sheet and the price on the day I verify it, and sign the text. — Samuel
\n\n
Frequently asked questions about the RTX 5060 Ti and RX 9060 XT
\n\n
Is the RTX 5060 Ti faster than the RX 9060 XT at 1440p?
\n
Only by about a percent in the test we cite. TechSpot's June 2025 review of 18 games put the RX 9060 XT 16GB about a frame behind the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB at 1440p, 6% behind at 1080p and 20% behind in ray tracing.
\n\n
Is the 16 GB version worth it over the 8 GB one?
\n
For these two chips, yes: TechSpot advised avoiding the 8 GB versions of the RX 9060 XT, and both makers sell the 16 GB cards we compare here. The 16 GB memory is what gives texture-heavy games room at 1440p.
\n\n
What power supply do I need for each card?
\n
Both cards we list ask for 550 W from their makers, ASUS for the RTX 5060 Ti and ASRock for the RX 9060 XT. NVIDIA's own figure is 600 W and AMD's minimum is 450 W, so use our power supply calculator with your processor to get the number for your PC.
\n\n
Does the RX 9060 XT support DLSS?
\n
No. DLSS is NVIDIA's technology and runs on RTX cards such as the RTX 5060 Ti; the RX 9060 XT uses AMD's FSR 4 instead. Which one matters depends on whether the games you play support it.
\n\n
Will these cards fit in a small case?
\n
The ASUS RTX 5060 Ti is 229 mm long and 2.5 slots thick, so it fits more small cases; the ASRock RX 9060 XT is 298 mm and 2.55 slots, so check your case's maximum card length first with our Will it fit? tool.
\n\n
My pick, in one line per kind of player
\n\n
If you play at 1440p and the price band decides it, I would buy the RX 9060 XT 16GB. If your case is small, you want DLSS 4 or you play with ray tracing on, I would buy the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. The third is DLSS 4: NVIDIA says Multi Frame Generation can add up to three extra frames for each frame the card renders, but only in games that support it, so check your own library first.
\n\n
You pay for that. The ASUS Dual RTX 5060 Ti 16GB OC Edition sits in the $600 to $900 band, against $400 to $600 for the ASRock card. Bands move with Amazon, so look at both before you decide. If the gap is large and none of the three situations above is yours, the AMD card is the better use of the money.
\n\n"},{"tipo":"producto","producto":{"id":101,"code":"PRD-000101","asin":"B0F7WB6LSH","name":"ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC Edition","description":"NVIDIA's RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB of GDDR7, PCIe 5.0 and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, in an ASUS Dual cooler 229 mm long and 2.5 slots thick that fits compact cases.
