{"id":90,"topic":"Prime Big Deal Days 2026 Gaming Gear: Buy or Skip","description":"Which gaming gear is worth buying in a big sale like Black Friday, how to spot a fake discount in two minutes, and what to let go.","metaDescription":null,"content":"
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. We found no announcement from Amazon with its own deal dates on October 16, and Prime Big Deal Days already ended on October 7, so what you can prepare now is a plan, not a list of discounts. Before you open the first red tag: most of those \"deals\" on gaming gear save you nothing, or save you money on something you did not need. Show up with a plan, not with your finger on the buy button.
\n\n
We will tell you what is usually worth waiting for in each category, how to spot a fake discount in two minutes, and what makes sense on a small, mid and big budget. We do not know which deals will show up, so there are no discount promises here, just a way to decide. Full specs for every product live in our catalog; the comparison tool puts two side by side, and the PC builder tells you whether new parts work together before a countdown rushes you.
\n\n
The one-minute version before any big sale
\n\n
Buy what was already on your list, check the price history and the exact model, and let go of anything you discovered that same day. These are the six I would watch, with their catalog reference price; if you see one clearly below that on sale day, that is a real deal:
\n\n
\n
Wireless mouse to start with: Logitech G305, [precio:PRD-000013]
\n
Cheap compact keyboard: Royal Kludge RK68, [precio:PRD-000044]
\n
Light wireless headset: Logitech G535, [precio:PRD-000022]
\n
Graphics card for 1080p and 1440p: RTX 5060, [precio:PRD-000034]
\n
The monitor that changes the experience: LG UltraGear 27GX704A, [precio:PRD-000014]
\n
Mouse for competitive play: Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2, [precio:PRD-000012]
\n
\n\n
Black Friday 2026 calendar: what is fixed and what is not
\n
The shopping days are fixed by the calendar; the discounts are not. Cheap gear from brands nobody knows is \"on sale\" all year long.
\n\n
Mice. The Logitech and Razer classics show up discounted a lot, and that is exactly where the trap is: the same mouse comes in several colors, and sometimes an \"edition\" with a different name is really the previous version.
\n\n
Keyboards. Budget compact boards with hot-swap change price every week, so a \"discount\" might just be last week's normal price. Where a real discount shows is on magnetic and high-end boards, because their normal price is high.
\n\n
Headsets. Previous-gen wireless models drop when their successor lands, which is fine if they cover your needs. Check the platform: plenty of models come in a PlayStation version and an Xbox version with almost the same name, and they are not always interchangeable.
\n\n
Monitors. This is the category where the exact model matters most. The same name can come in 144, 165 or 180 Hz, flat or curved, and the deal usually lands on the version you wanted least. If your card already handles 1440p, a discounted OLED is the purchase you will feel the most.
\n\n
Chairs. Be more suspicious of crossed-out prices here than anywhere else: some generic chairs have been \"on sale\" for months. If the one that fits you does not drop, buy it anyway when you need it. I would not sit on a dining chair waiting for a deal: your back does not wait for a sale.
\n\n
PC parts. With graphics cards, watch out for the \"discounted\" previous generation that ends up costing almost the same as the current one; if you are not sure which tier you need, our graphics card guide sorts it out by resolution. For SSDs and RAM, do the math per gigabyte, and if it is for a new build, run the list through the PC builder before you pay.
\n\n
Five tests to catch a fake discount
\n\n
\n
Check the history, not the crossed-out price. On amazon.com there is a price history link right next to the price that shows up to a year of movement (other Amazon stores may not have it yet); they explain it in their official guide. If the price went up two weeks ago and now \"drops\" back to where it was, that is not a deal.
\n
Compare it with our band. Every pick in this guide shows its usual price band. If the \"deal\" lands inside that band, you paid the normal price with a red tag on top.
\n
Confirm the exact model. The product details list the ASIN, the code Amazon uses to identify each version. The 180 Hz monitor and not the 144 Hz one, the 2 TB SSD and not the 1 TB, the PC version and not the console one, and never \"Renewed\" if you wanted a new one.
\n
Be wary of an old model with a new name. If a listing does not say the release year or the generation, look it up.
\n
The list rule. If you did not want it last week, you do not need it during the sale.
\n
\n\n
Monitor deals: four checks before you pay
\n
A monitor deal is only worth it if the exact model fits your graphics card and, if you play on a console, your PS5 or Xbox. If either fails, the discount does not matter. Below are the five monitors in our catalog with the data each brand publishes and the reference price our catalog tracks, so you can tell a real drop on sale day.
\n
Table: the monitors in our catalog and the data each brand publishes. Updated October 8, 2026. Match the full model code
\n
Monitor names differ by a few characters. MSI sells the 271QPX and the 274QP X24 side by side, and one runs at 360 Hz while the other runs at 240 Hz. Before you trust a discount, check that the code on the listing is the same one on the brand's page.
\n
2. Pick the resolution your graphics card can feed
\n
A 4K screen has 2.25 times the pixels of a 1440p screen, so it asks a lot more of your GPU. If you are not sure where your card lands, our guide 1080p, 1440p or 4K: which one fits your GPU answers it card by card.
\n
3. Do not pay for hertz you will not see
\n
A 360 Hz panel only helps if your PC actually pushes that many frames in the games you play. Our guide on whether 144 Hz or 240 Hz is worth it explains where the jump shows and where it does not.
\n
4. On OLED, read the burn-in warranty
\n
OLED and QD-OLED are what you buy for deep blacks, and the warranty is what covers you against burn-in. Samsung's spec page for the G8 says burn-in from normal use is covered within its 3-year warranty. For the other brands, read their warranty page before you buy. If you are still deciding on the panel type, start with OLED, QD-OLED or IPS.
\n
For each monitor's strengths and weak spots, see the 5 best gaming monitors of 2026. And if you play on a PS5, the HDMI 2.1 column matters more than the size of the discount.
\n\n
Small budget: Logitech G305, the mouse that does not need a deal
\n\n
HERO sensor, lag-free Lightspeed wireless and up to 250 hours on a single AA battery. Its normal price is already low, so any real drop is a bonus. No rechargeable battery, though. Its band: [banda:PRD-000013].
\n\n[producto:PRD-000013]\n\n
Small budget: Royal Kludge RK68, compact without losing the arrows
\n\n
65% layout, hot-swap switches and RGB, and it keeps the arrow keys, which is what almost everyone misses after moving to a 60%. Its price moves every week, so the band is your guide: [banda:PRD-000044]. If the \"deal\" sits above it, it is not a deal. Check which switch the discounted version ships with.
\n\n[producto:PRD-000044]\n\n
Mid budget: Logitech G535, light enough for long sessions
\n\n
236 grams, Lightspeed wireless and up to 33 hours of battery. After three hours with a headset on, it is the weight that wears you out. Reference band: [banda:PRD-000022].
\n\n[producto:PRD-000022]\n\n
Mid budget: RTX 5060, for high 1080p and tuned 1440p
\n\n
8 GB of GDDR7 from the current NVIDIA generation. I will not lie to you: those 8 GB are its limit, and in some new games you have to lower textures. If it drops, compare it with the previous generation before a crossed-out price decides for you. Band: [banda:PRD-000034].
\n\n[producto:PRD-000034]\n\n
Big budget: LG UltraGear 27GX704A, the OLED you will actually notice
\n\n
27 inches, QHD at 240 Hz and an OLED panel. If I spent on just one thing in a big sale, it would be a monitor like this: the blacks and the motion clarity show up in every match. You need a card that handles 1440p to get the most out of it; if you are not sure what to expect from the refresh rate, our 60 to 144 or 240 Hz guide explains it. Fair warning: if you leave the same static image on screen for hours, check what the panel warranty covers. Band: [banda:PRD-000014].
\n\n[producto:PRD-000014]\n\n
Big budget: Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2, for serious competitive play
\n\n
Buying for someone else? Our gifts for gamers by budget applies the same rules to presents.
\n
60 grams, HERO 2 sensor and up to 95 hours of battery. If you play shooters most of the time, that is where a light mouse makes a real difference; for everything else, the G305 above is more than enough. Buy it only if it drops against its history. Band: [banda:PRD-000012].
\n\n[producto:PRD-000012]\n\n
How we choose
\n\n
We do not have a lab and we are not going to pretend we do. For this guide we started from products already in our catalog, with official manufacturer specs and a price band checked on Amazon, and kept the established models with a clear reference price that make sense to wait for. We do not know what will be discounted or by how much, and we will not make it up. No brand pays to appear here.
\n\n
I write every guide with the help of AI tools for research and drafting; I decide which products make the cut, check every figure against the manufacturer's spec sheet and the price on the day I verify it, and sign the text. — Samuel
\n\n
Frequently asked questions about gaming deals
\n\n
Is it better to wait for Black Friday?
\n\n
Depends on what. If you need it now and it sits at the low end of its band, buy it and move on. If you can wait, Black Friday is on November 27, 2026, and the same rules apply: price history, our band and the exact model.
\n\n
When is Black Friday 2026?
\n\n
Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. Both follow U.S. Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. On October 16 we found no announcement from Amazon with its own deal dates; if it publishes them, we update this guide.
\n\n
Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a graphics card?
\n\n
Only if you can wait: nobody can promise a discount, and the exact model matters more than the sale. If you need it now, buy it at the low end of its band; if you can wait, compare Amazon's price history with our band and do not pay extra for a \"discounted\" previous generation.
\n\n
How do I know if a gaming discount is real?
\n\n
When three things line up: the Amazon price history, the band on our product page and the exact ASIN.
\n\n
Final verdict: what I would buy and what I would let go
\n\n
Declared bias: I am a desktop guy and I play at 1440p. If the LG really drops, against its history and not against the crossed-out price, that is my buy of the sale, because a good monitor sticks with you through several graphics cards. A G305 or a pair of G535s I would buy without thinking twice if I see them at the low end of their band.
\n\n
What I would let go: the \"discounted\" previous-gen card, the keyboard, mouse and headset combo from a brand nobody knows with a countdown on top, and any chair that has been crossed out for half a year. And if nothing on my list drops, that is fine: Black Friday is on November 27, and walking out with your money intact is also a win.
","slug":"prime-big-deal-days-2026-gaming-gear-buy-or-skip","language":"en","updatedAt":"2026-10-16T23:15:27.000Z","readMinutes":16,"categorySlug":"keyboards","coverImage":"/uploads/eee3181a1dcf52f107535eb4.webp","publishedAt":"2026-09-25T04:31:03.000Z","createdAt":"2026-09-25T04:23:03.000Z","tituloSeo":"Prime Big Deal Days 2026 Gaming Gear: Buy or Skip","autor":{"slug":"samuel76","nombre":"Samuel 76","cargo":"Founder & Editor","bio":"Samuel Guerra — known online as Samuel 76 — founded GamersConnected in 2026 to answer a question he kept running into himself: which piece of gaming gear is actually worth the money.
